90 Days Thru the Bible, Blog

Laws, Laws, and More Laws!

This last week’s Bible reading was probably the heaviest that we will have to do in our 90 Days Thru the Bible series.  Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.  It is so easy to get bogged down in all the laws and feasts and commandments that God instituted during this period of Israel’s history.  But don’t despair!   If you’re behind, so am I.  Just keep going.

Yesterday was Deuteronomy and I did not get that read.  But, today, I will read Joshua (as per the schedule) and when I get some extra time I’ll go back and finish Deuteronomy.  Don’t get caught up in the fact that you missed some.  If you never find the time to go back, then wait until the 90 days are up and then read whatever passages you’ve missed.  I don’t think the Lord is honoured when we stress about missing passages.  He wants us to enjoy spending time with Him.

And don’t forget to add your voice to His.  The Lord loves when we talk to Him.  Pray.  Spend time thanking Him for what He’s done for you, blessed you with, and taught you.  And you can include some intercessory prayer for others.  But talk to God like He’s right in the room with you.  Enjoy Him all day!

Keep on, keeping on.  Spend time with Him daily.  I encourage you also, if you’re not already following a Bible reading schedule this year, head over to GoodMorningGirls.org and join in on their Luke study for the next three months.  It looks like it’s going to be a good one!
